Artist's Description - "Dos Mujeres en Ritmo" (Two Women in Motion) shows two women side by side. "The shading on the top and bottom of the piece is meant to bring the bodies to the foreground and highlight their beauty. The geometric qualities of the shading and background contrast the curvy forms of the women to accentuating them further." Similarly, the women's stoic expression was meant to not draw any extra attention away from their bodies. Wrapped around the women are "fajas" or sashes that are customary in Cusco. In the background of the composition are "tomes", large clay pots, use to store fruits and vegetables post harvest.

Artist's Description - Maja universal depicts a woman sleeping on a bed in a serene and tranquil setting. "Maja" is an endearing term used amongst the local population in Cusco that means "beautiful". The female figure is lit from above and abstracted, representing the general beauty of the female form. This piece contrasts with most of Garcia's works, where he likes to show the human form in motion.
