Artist's Bio - Maketo was born in the Aeroporto neighborhood of Maputo, Mozambique during the mid 1970's. His neighborhood is renowned for producing artists and he was exposed to art from an early age. During adolescence, Maketo first became involved in painting by producing portraits of famous figures, such as Bob Marley and Michael Jackson.
