If a painting is damaged in any way in the shipping process, we will provide a full refund.

Company FAQ

Are all the paintings that you sell original?
Yes, 100% of the paintings are painted by artists living in the developing world.
Do you have a gallery we can visit?
We do not have a physical gallery, although we frequently exhibit our pieces through partner galleries, restaurants, and cafes. Please see our Events and Partners pages for additional information.

How much does ArtExtend pay artists?
We work with each partner artist individually to design a commercial relationship that is beneficial for both parties. With some artists, we purchase pieces up front. With other artists, we use a consignment model, charging a portion of revenue upon sale of the artwork. Ultimately, we seek to establish long term relationships with artists that are fulfilling for all parties.

Is ArtExtend a non-profit?
ArtExtend is a for-profit company. We strongly believe that the private sector and free markets are the best way to help artists - not giving hand outs. The relationships that we create with artists provide them with new sales channels to sell their art, thus increasing the size of thier potential market. Further, we promote partner artists' works online, in exhibitions, and through our network. The net effect is that artists are able to sell a much larger volume of their artwork at higher prices. We believe that this model is the best way to ensure the long-term sustainability of commercial relationships with artists. We also believe this is the best way to create a scalable model that has the potential to expand throughout the developing world and positively impact a substantial number of people.

Where are you based?
We are an American company based in New York City. We also have staff living in numerous developing countries that serve as our "feet on the ground" and work directly with partner artists. We also work with galleries, schools, and other art organizations both in the US and abroad - see our Partners page.

Are you open to working with new artists from developing countries?
Absolutely. Please contact us by email at sourcing@artextend.com to let us know that you are interested in becoming a part of the ArtExtend network. We will follow up with you promptly with next steps. This will include sending digital photos of your artwork for review along with a short bio.

Do you sell pieces to art retailers or to companies?
